Cross Sectional Study on Thyroid Arteries with Clinical Correlations

Introduction- Thyroid gland is a highly vascular endocrine gland. The aim of our study to explore thyroid arteries escape eventual iatrogenic complications.
 Materials and Methods- Both sides neck total 60 adult embalmed cadavers were dissected in West Bengal (2020-2021).
 Results- We found Superior Arteries 100% cases originating from External Carotid Artery 77.5% cases, Bifurcation 11.67% Common 7.5% as well common trunk with Lingual artery 1.67% Facial cases. Source origin when compared level between male female cadavers, the result was statistically significant (p< 0.05). Inferior present 90% absent 10% originated Thyrocervical Trunk 92.5% Subclavian 0.83% Thyroidea Ima 3.33% arising Arch Aorta Brachiocephalic Trunk.
 Conclusion- Knowledge arterial variations will help prevent loss patient life due hemorrhage during surgery.
